Don’t jump – until you’ve checked the temperature of the water.
This is true in life. It is good to assemble all of the facts before you make a decision.
Do I have the needed information? What are the variables? Who are the people involved? What are the potential consequences?
This is being realistic. And…it will pay off in the long run.
Life is about decisions. And…if you’re a poor decision-maker…life will be hard.
Jesus was a realist. “In this world you will have trouble.” That’s a given.
He has checked the temperature. But…He doesn’t stop there. “But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
So today…put your trust in Jesus. You will be an overcomer in Him.
Get ready — jump.
