Esteemed by God.  What a position of privilege.

 

Of all human aspirations…this is the greatest.  Loved by God – that’s amazing.  To be accepted by God – that’s hard to comprehend.

 

But…to be esteemed by God – that defies description.

 

Yet…that’s the promise: “This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.”

 

Are you looking for an ambition in life?

 

What can be more lofty…than to aspire to be esteemed by God?

 

But…the way is demanding.  First comes humility.

 

That means surrender…a total capture of the heart by the presence of God.

 

Then comes a trembling at His Word.  This marks a total surrender to the authority of God’s Word.

 

Esteemed by God.  What a position of privilege.
